Welcome

Welcome

From here you will be able to access live webcasts of some of our District Council committees and other special events and view an archive of past webcasts.

What is a Webcast?

A webcast is basically a transmission of audio and video over the internet. Video cameras at the meeting venue capture the live information and send it to a central server, which in turn sends it to anyone that would like to view. Through the use of your internet connection (either broadband or via a dial-up modem) and Windows Media Player you can watch the webcast  from the comfort of your own home.

Should you miss the live events, or would like to view a section of the event again, then you can view the archive of the webcast. The archives allow you to view the meeting at you leisure and, through the use of the index points, allow you to jump to a specific agenda point in the meeting.
